Temperature may be set from 200 to 480°C with a simple dial adjustment, a lock screw prevents inadvertent changes. Built-in ceramic heater sensor maintains temperature within ±1°C. Measuring just 120W x 93H x 170D (mm), the unit requires little space and it's stackable design permits two units in the space of one. Quick heat-up coupled with fast thermal recovery permits the 936ESD to provide high quality soldering at low tip temperature.

The FX-951 soldering station is specifically designed for lead (Pb)-free applications. It is applicable for eutectic solder as well as Pb-free solder. The composite tip (the soldering tip, the heating element and the sensor are in one assembly) has superior thermal recovery and reliable temperature accuracy.

Designed for cell style production, the FX-951 soldering iron has a space-saving vertical design, and the iron holder can be adjusted to an easy-to-use angle for work in both standing and sitting positions. The shorter handle-to-tip distance makes critical soldering work easier. There is a large variation in standard tips available and these include such types as long life, high thermal capacity, and tips for IC rework, making the soldering iron ideal for various applications.

The FX-951 features selectable sleep and automatic shutoff functions. The sleep function lowers the tip temperature to 200°C to prevent oxidation of the tip when its temperature remains unchanged for a certain period of the time (10 minutes or more). The automatic shutoff function automatically turns off the soldering iron for energy-saving and safety reasons after a certain period of the time has elapsed (30 minutes or more).

The Hakko FX-951 consumes 75 W (24 V pen) and can deliver a temperature range from 200 to 450°C. It weighs 1,2 kg and measures 80 x 130 x 131 mm.

The FM-202 station features a unique cartridge tip that incorporates fast recovery and pulsing heater technology. Station is automatically programmed for any tip configuration by simply inserting desired tip into station's process gate. Once set by user, soldering tip temperature is automatically adjusted and maintained using an industry-first coded cartridge tip and reader system. This station provides consistent temperature with fast recovery for even high mass soldering applications. Tip temperature is adjustable from 200°C to 450°C, accuracy is ±18°F, and a lock-out key card provides supervisory process control. Permits quick and efficient removal of SMD chips and flat packs up to 25mm. Plugs into the power supplies of Hakko soldering stations 936, 937, 701 & 702B. Direct heating by tips has less effect upon surrounding components on crowded boards than hot air rework equipment. Tips are easily replaceable and aligned. Tweezer style handpiece operates on a 25W ceramic heating element in each leg. Tip-to-ground resistance is under 2W and leak voltage is less than 2mV.
